Putin’s bodyguards carried ‘poop suitcase’ to Alaska meet with Trump: Report

Members of the Russian President’s Federal Protection Service (FPS) collect Russian President Vladimir Putin’s waste, including his poop, store it in special bags and bring it back to Moscow in dedicated suitcases, a report by The Express US, which cited investigative journalists Mikhail Rubin and Regis Gente in French publication Paris Match, said.

  • Practice started in 2017 and reportedly dates back to 1999
  • This security measure prevents foreign powers from analysing his health
  • Putin’s health has been subject to various rumours and scrutiny

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bodyguards had a unique responsibility in Alaska during the 72-year-old’s high-stakes meeting with his US counterpart Donald Trump – store his poop in suitcases and bring it back to Moscow.

The unusual step is an established security measure that his bodyguards have been following for years, all with the aim of stopping foreign powers from taking samples of Putin’s faeces and potentially gaining information regarding his health.
